One of my favorite characters from Korean manhwa The Bride of the Water God, Tae-eul-jin-in, a mysterious inventor whose intentions are difficult to determine. More information on him here.
The Bride of the Water God is a manhwa based on Korean mythology which has been published in English since 2007. The English translation is still ongoing.
